While this position requires on-site presence due to the nature of the work, we prioritize flexible scheduling to support both personal balance and successful project delivery.<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Position</span></h2>Senior Controls Engineer<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Location</span></h2>USA, Louisville, KY<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">How You'll Create Possibilities</span></h2><ul><li><p>Lead and support <b>capital equipment procurement projects</b>, including specifications, supplier selection, technical reviews, installation, and equipment qualification.</p></li><li><p>Partner with <b>global and cross-functional teams</b> (Design, Lean, Quality, EHS, Procurement, and Operations) to support new product introductions.</p></li><li><p>Provide controls engineering expertise across a wide range of applications, including:</p><ul><li><p>General automation</p></li><li><p>Component assembly cells</p></li><li><p>Customized fabrication equipment</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Ensure equipment and tooling designs align with <b>GE Appliances standards</b>, including Manufacturing Control Plans (MCP) and Manufacturing Control Instructions (MCI).</p></li><li><p>Champion <b>safety-first engineering</b>, collaborating closely with EHS to ensure systems protect the health and well-being of employees.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with automation and robotics engineers to implement <b>innovative, cost-effective automation solutions</b>.</p></li><li><p>Support factory teams with system implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">What You'll Bring to Our Team</span></h2><p><b><u>Requirements:</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline <u><b>OR</b></u> equivalent hands-on experience in technical/manufacturing disciplines.  </p></li><li><p>5+ years of hands-on & relevant controls engineering experience with automated manufacturing equipment and processes.</p></li><li><p>Experience with Rockwell Automation control systems, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge and practice of machine safety (ISO 13849).</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Preferred:</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Ability to work in large cross-functional teams and at multiple levels in the organization (both salaried and shop floor operators / skilled trades team members)</p></li><li><p>Good communication skills – will be expected to provide program report outs to cross-functional team</p></li><li><p>Ability to make decisions and willingness to take ownership of complex projects</p></li><li><p>Automation integration</p></li><li><p>Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD</p></li><li><p>Experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment and capital equipment procurement </p></li><li><p>Experience with plastics automation</p></li><li><p>Skilled knowledge of controls software (Rockwell, Emerson, Siemens) and coding structure for ladder logic. Experience with other controls programming languages such as structured text, and function blocks diagram is beneficial. </p></li><li><p>TUV Certification in machine safety. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Work Environment</u></b></p><div><ul><li><p>This position is primarily based in Louisville, KY, but may require travel to other locations as needed.
